If we cannot change the meaning of the fascist symbol, if we cannot reduce its height or dismiss its depth, then we’ll move along its surface, transforming its sense, unfolding it, multiplying it.
This work uses the anachronism of the Franco monument in Tortosa to bring out certain issues that remain hidden or camouflaged in the landscape. It also rescues, through sight, the gesture of the crossing of the river by the Republican soldiers in The Battle of the Ebro, as an emphasis of a social horizontality that still sustains a fascist verticality.
