Linz / Kosice / Kalocsa
Single-channel video, not sound, 20 min, loop
2014
This work gathers a moving atlas with images of different places occupied or inhabited by gypsies in Linz (Austria), Kosice (Slovakia) and Kalocsa (Hungary). Images are linked with text fragments of utopian architecture, thus presenting the utopian and the marginal as elements operating outside the ‘polis’, which have no place in the political space of representation.
Each window also contains a breath: the vibration between the outside (political) and the inside (poetic).
